God Really Does Listen… Give Him Time

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another blog. It has been so long since I’ve posted—I took a little break, but I’m back now!

My last blog was about the favour of God, and honestly, I’ve been seeing His favour in my life so much this year. I pray you have too.

God is such a faithful God—so merciful and gracious. Though sometimes it may feel like He is not present, He really is listening to our prayers and our hearts. He is putting the pieces together and turning things around for our good.

He’s listening, even in the silence. Trust that He’s working. Give Him time.

The Bible states in Psalm 66:19 —

“But certainly God has heard me; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.”

What does it mean to heed?

To heed means to listen deeply, to give careful attention.

Every time we pray and call unto God, He gives heed to our prayers—He listens with intention and does not disregard our requests.

In 1 John 5:14, it states:

“And this is the confidence that we have toward Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”

God is a just God, and He will answer our prayers according to His will for us. Romans 12:2 reassures us that God’s will is perfect:

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

However, we shouldn’t give up if it feels like our prayers are not being answered.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to “pray without ceasing,” reminding us to stay in constant, ongoing conversation with God.

We can’t always just accept things as they are—we must believe that prayer can shift the atmosphere.

When we pray, we don’t just speak words—we release power. Faith-filled prayer doesn’t just request change—it declares it. Your prayers are doing more than you can see or ever imagine behind the scenes.

If we truly want God to turn our situation around, we must stay in close communication with Him. Don’t get tired. Don’t grow weary.

We must devote ourselves to prayer.

Colossians 4:2 says:

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”

So whatever season you’re in, keep praying, keep trusting, and don’t lose heart.

God hears you—and in His perfect time, He will answer.
