HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Wow, we have entered the year of 2025. Isn't God good?! I pray in the name of Jesus, the year of 2025 will be one of your best years yet! I pray God blesses and expands your territory and gives you the capacity to carry the blessings he is going to bestow upon you.
As a reminder, do not dwell on anything that occurred in 2024. This is a new beginning for us all! The book of Isaiah 43:18-19 states; 'But forget all that-it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a new pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.'
God is going to do a new thing for you in this year of 2025. Get ready, get excited!
It was revealed to me that this is the year of restoration! He revealed it to me when I was looking over my blog posts over the years and I noticed there was a pattern...
I started writing in 2021. The blog theme of that year was allowing God to work in my life. This foundational theme set the stage for my spiritual journey, emphasising openness to Gods influence and love. Learning how to surrender to Gods will and do it his way and not my own. 2022 was the blog theme year of new beginnings. Building on the concept of allowing God to work, this theme signifies a fresh start, with God. He revealed to me that I cannot do life without him and I wanted Gods will to continue to be done in my life.
2023 was my theme of Growing in the Lord. A personal development and a deeper relationship with God. At this stage I had a better understanding of who God was and wanted to continue my journey with him. Allowing God to work in my life, and the chance to start afresh with new beginnings; I was focusing on growth, continuing on my journey with him.
And finally the year of 2024. This was the year of increased faith. This was the year where I was now looking to deepen my faith and trust in God. Making the decision to fully commit to the journey and not waver.
As I looked over this, I observed a pattern. Without realising, each year builds upon the previous one, indicating a journey that starts with allowing God to work, then moving to new beginnings, followed by growth and culminating in a stronger faith. Each blog theme reflects a different aspect of my spiritual journey; 'surrender, renewal, growth and increased faith.'
By the grace of God, I am now on Blog 5. This year will be the year of restoration. This fits perfectly and beautifully into the progression of my spiritual journey. It signifies a return to wholeness, healing and renewal in my relationship with God. After allowing God to work, experiencing new beginnings, growing and increasing my faith I am now in a position to seek and embrace restoration.
In Psalm 23:3 it states; 'He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His names sake.' In Joel 2:25 it states; 'I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. This proposes Gods promise of restoration after times of loss or hardship.
2025 is going to be such a beautiful year for us all. I pray God will restore healing to you, restore your faith, restore your rediscovery in your God given purpose. I pray God will restore your financial stability, restore job opportunities, restore your dreams and aspirations. I pray God will restore your creativity, the mission of your church, restoration of broken relationships and friendships and restoration in family dynamics.
In Jesus name, amen x
Amen! Happy new year Selena Marie ❤️🤍🙏🏾
